As the long-time Miami neighbor of Finca Naya co-founder, Joerg “JR” Rickers, I have become well acquainted with the man, his family and his passions. Over that time, I have watched JR develop interests and set goals that derive from a profound commitment to conscientious, global citizenship. Little did I know, however, that what began as a small, raised-bed worm farm in JR’s backyard would one day lead to the fully sustainable production of the best tasting Colombian specialty coffee I have ever had the pleasure of brewing. As a self-acknowledged coffee snob (no roast date = no purchase), I now measure all other beans and roasts to Naya. Of course, I still have the benefit of being able to walk two doors down to JR’s to get my weekly grind. Now you too can experience the Finca Naya story in your morning cup. Bravo JR!
